Hiroshima

I spent a long day in Hiroshima, mostly in and around the Peace Park and a long walk through the city. Inevetably, I found the castle! Naturally, this didn't survive the bombing but it was rebuilt in 1958 - largely in reinforced concrete, although you wouldn't know that from the exterior.

My last stop was to the Shukkeien Gardens (Shrunken Scenery Park). It's the bonsai equivalent of the Lake district!! Very pretty.
